For Adobe Express workflows, respect the platform's 50 MB per-file upload limit. For Figma handoff, export at the native resolution the design file uses; Figma scales raster assets poorly when the source resolution is too low.

Export as PNG for Canva, Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, Affinity Designer, or Sketch. Canva import preserves PNG transparency directly. Figma prefers SVG for scalable icon work and PNG for raster cutouts that need to stay pixel-based. Adobe Express accepts up to 50 MB per file. For Photoshop layer imports, drag the PNG directly onto the canvas to preserve the alpha channel without an import dialog.

Does it produce proper alpha channels?
Yes. PNG exports include full 8-bit alpha channel transparency with proper anti-aliasing on the edges. That means no white halo fringing when you composite the cutout over a colored background in Photoshop, Figma, Illustrator, or Affinity Designer. For the rare case where client standards require 16-bit alpha for fine gradient work, export the PNG and convert to 16-bit in your design tool of choice.
Can I process an entire client photo set at once?
Free bulk is 40 images per run, so an 80-asset client dump is two runs. Catalog Studio on Pro handles up to 500 images in one local job. That is still far less manual masking than clipping each file by hand.
Are client files safe and private?
These image-editing operations run in your browser on your device; your source photos are not sent to an image-processing server. The browser downloads the model on the first run. Analytics and optional account/payment requests are separate from local image processing.
What if I need to refine a tricky edge?
